  • Create transparency: Keep team activities clear and accessible.
  • Shape team identity: Customize the team page to fit your needs.
  • New tabs for better navigation: The team page is now clearly structured with the Overview, All Work, Messages, and Calendar tabs. For additional flexibility, you can also add tabs for notes.

Control and Protection for Custom Fields

With custom fields in Asana, you can manage important information and protect sensitive data. By default, the visibility of these fields is based on access to the respective project or portfolio. This means that all project members can view and edit the values of custom fields as long as they have access to the project.

However, private custom fields and editing permissions offer additional security and control:

  • Private Fields: By marking a custom field as private, you can specify exactly who can view or edit it. Only explicitly named members will have access – regardless of where the field is used.
  • Editing Permissions: By assigning roles, you can control who is allowed to modify field values:
    • Field Admin: Edits field details and settings.
    • Editor: Changes field values.
    • User: Can only view the values.

These features allow you to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access and ensure the integrity of your projects.

Full Control: Restrictions for Portfolio Customization and Sharing

In Asana, you can use advanced permissions for portfolios to allow only administrators to customize and share portfolios. By default, all members of a portfolio can view and edit its content. With advanced permissions, however, you can ensure that only administrators can make changes and share the portfolio. This ensures that the structure and contents of your portfolios are protected and only authorized individuals can make adjustments.

Efficient Planning: Saved Views for Capacity and Workload

In Asana, you can create saved views for capacity planning and workload management to keep track of the most relevant information for you and your team. With Workload, you get an overview of your team’s capacity and can redistribute tasks as needed to avoid overloading. To create a saved view, simply adjust the view to your needs and save it for future use. This allows you to quickly access key data and boost your team’s productivity.

Efficient Handover: Seamless Assignment Transfer in Asana

When responsibilities within your team change, you can easily transfer all assignments from one user to another in a project. Asana ensures that all tasks from the original user are seamlessly reassigned to the new person in charge. This keeps your project organized and work continues without interruption.

Stay on Top: Notifications for AI Studio Capacity

As an administrator in Asana, it is crucial to keep an eye on the usage of AI Studio. You will receive email and in-app notifications when your organization reaches its capacity limit. This allows you to take timely action to ensure the efficient use of AI Studio.

Project Overview on the Go: Smart Summaries on Your Android Device

With Smart Summaries in the Asana app for Android, you can stay on top of your projects even when you’re on the move. These intelligent summaries provide you with a clear overview of the latest activities and progress in your work. Whether you’re just diving into an ongoing project and want to quickly catch up or you simply want to stay informed without being involved every day, these summaries help you keep track of the most important conversations and updates in Asana, allowing you to focus on what matters.
